There was a night in Kyoto where a moment like this happened while I was telling an 18 year old kid he hasn’t missed out on life and he has potential. I was serious too but he didn’t believe me because he was drunk. I had told him if I had the abilities at 18 that he possessed I wouldn’t let anything hold me back, yet he was letting his emotions and expectations hold him back instead of just living the life he was given. Poor kid I hope he realizes one day the truth.
